Sword Sheath’s Child

The main character Bira lived a happy life, wandering around the world and enjoying fishing with his grandfather. One day, grandfather suddenly disappeared, having previously told Bira to go into the forest, which lay far to the north, and wait for him there. Grandfather taught his grandson not to meddle in the lives of other people and not to accept any gifts from them. Keeping these lessons in his heart, Bira was able to easily survive in the depths of a dense forest, where no man has gone before, and even make friends with a bear named Boro.

Once Bira was fishing in one of the valleys of the forest, where he suddenly stumbled upon a young guy named Tanya, who was in trouble. In him, he saw something painfully familiar. As a result, Bira for the first time in his life ignored his grandfather’s words about non-interference in other people’s lives and decided to help the guy in a difficult situation. So between them began friendships and even partly brotherly relations. However, already soon, while Bira was sleeping, Tanya disappeared somewhere, leaving a note stating that he needed to check something and he would be back soon … Tanya went to a dangerous place called “Ruins of the Crying”.

Having woken up Bira, having learned from Boro where Tanya had gone, he was confused. Finally, after much deliberation, he left a note for his grandfather, asking him to wait for his return in the forest, and, leaving the dense forest, went to the outside world in search of Tanya. Thus began his adventures in a chaotic world torn by endless human squabbles and battles not for life but for death.
