The Saintess Has a Showdown

Ch.18:
Better than expected.
From the cover I was expecting some highschool comedy or an isekai comedy, but this story is actually about a girl who was made a saintess in some kind of organisation, which was established after humans started making contracts with soul pets. Soul pets are everywhere and people can make contracts with them, level up after training and cultivating, have personal soul realm inside of themselves and some special talented individuals get invited to some kind of special trial. The story is complex enough and has pretty good comedy, but for some reason every character (and soul beast) so far is female and looks hot (yes the soul beasts sometimes too). The frequently appearing semi ecchi moments aren’t actually necessary in my opinion. Comedy and action.

The art is a well drawn, very round and colorful webtoon artstyle, that accentuates the very round body proportions. The amount of details is fine and most of the backgrounds are filled. The fight scenes look very good amd the girls are all well developed. And no, the breasts are censured in the one panel she changes clothes.(low) Great art.

The characters are alive. As in many other comedies, everyone is rather simple and has some kind of weird character trait for running gag purposes or for provoking weird moments.
But the only well introduced character, our mc, is actuall pretty interesting. She is smart and tries very hard. But her talent and her elemental spirit just fail her time and time again. And so she gets frustrated and starts picking on her elemental spirit, who can’t talk back and so just kinda uses every opportunity to play tricks on her. Furthermore the efforts / coincidences the mc goes through to keep her lack of talent a secret are hillarious. Great characters.

It sum up 2, this comedy action webtoon has a lot of unnecessary semi ecchi moments. Why unnecessary? Because the great comedy story, well drawn art and great characters would be a tad bit better without them. Stil I definitely recommend you give this a try as youll surely get some healthy chuckles out of it.
