This mc is cringe why not kill the boss quickly, when he has a power that can crush the enemy. Also, the boss kidnap his parents so why did he not feel any remorse, he just all talk.
indeed, first kill or maim the woman, then the guild leader… no need to talk. get rid of trash.

this is uninventive path that sadly a lot of authors are taking now towards villain archetypes. The whole “I found a strong person who could potentially destroy what I’m trying to do! let me attack him and the ppl they care about, then when I get defeated and verify how strong they are, propose cooperation! perfect plan” cliche is truly the bottom of the barrel type of characterization at this point. Authors need to put a little more time and effort into villain motivations if they want to tell a good story.
